I believe this is a type of king fisher.

These are hoatzin, also known as stinkbirds. It is the only bird to use fermentation to digest its food, similar to a cow, hence the nickname. Special thanks to my brother the bird nerd for this information!

I have no idea what this bird is, but I thought it was rather prehistoric looking. Unfortunately it wouldn't stay still long enough for me to get a decent photo.

These cute little ones are Bolivian squirrel monkeys.

Our guide enticed them right onto our boat with a banana. He didn't actually feed them, which is good, though I think teasing them is a bit mean.

Here you can see the monkeys looking for a way to get the banana. I'm sure they were very disappointed when then didn't get any.

This is the runway Rurrenabaque airport. There is no refueling here, planes come from La Paz and then go straight back.
